On the way home from photographing a rescue dog in Fairlee, Meg and I snapped this shot of the fields down below our house. We've had some gorgeous weather the last couple of days and one of the local farmers - and a former neighbor of Meg's - cut the first batch of hay of the summer. It seems like we're just emerging from a long dank spring so this feels really, really good.
This trip was on the heels of visiting Killdeer Farms down the road to pick up some flowers for the deck this year. It's always a fun trip to see what new colors and flowers are available. We came home with some interesting ones and I'll post some pictures of them in coming days.
